January has started off with an El Niño year . With that the days have been very limited to Fish it’s been mostly windy and cold and wet. Haven’t got to fish as much as I’d like to but when we’ve been able to get out has been its sheepshead, grunts and snappers. A little cool to be fishing in Bradenton for the rest of the game fish but it was manageable but also nice to give them a break from catching them the rest of the year. The weather is slowly starting to shape up and the sun is shining as of now. Anticipating the warm up but not ready for summer. Snook fishing has been good with spawn over the summer. However with the rains that are happening and coming the red fish will start to migrate for their spawn. Hoping for their migrations for great catching and larger fish to be caught in Anna maria and Bradenton/Sarasota area.
